BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – CareerSource Brevard and CareerSource Flagler Volusia have consolidated their job centers. The new name is CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia and offers career centers in the tri-county region in Palm Coast, Daytona Beach, Orange City, Titusville, Rockledge, Patrick Air Force Base and Palm Bay.

The unemployment office will maintain its administrative offices in Rockledge and Daytona Beach. There will be no interruption of employment services throughout the tri-county area.

Driven by a shared vision to provide more employers and job seekers with the human resources services and resources critical to their success. The new Human Resources Board will create a better future for the community through its continued commitment to excellence, efficiency and community growth.

The merger is part of a comprehensive, multi-year plan to expand the range of job placement and training programs and to strengthen cooperation between the business, education, corporate and government sectors.

“This is an opportunity to strengthen and expand our services to meet the needs of a broad range of job seekers and employers in the region on a much more comprehensive scale,” said Marci Murphy, CEO of CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia.

By consolidating Florida’s labor market boards, as called for in the Reimagining Education and Career Help (REACH) Act, approved by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2021, the agency will streamline administrative and programmatic processes.

“This is an opportunity to strengthen and expand our services to meet the needs of a broad range of job seekers and employers in the region on a much more comprehensive scale,” said Marci Murphy, CEO of CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia.

“Combining teams creates opportunities to explore new perspectives, standardize processes and develop innovative programs to meet the demands of an ever-changing work environment.”

Murphy’s sector strategy approach aims to solve regional labor market challenges by leading initiatives targeting in-demand industries such as aerospace, advanced manufacturing, construction and IT/cybersecurity to drive regional growth.
