National League: Promoted Tamworth meets relegated Sutton

Newly promoted Tamworth will face relegated Sutton United at The Lamb when the 2024–25 National League season begins on Saturday 10 August.

The other relegated team from last season in the English Football League Forest Green Rovers play in the fifth league for the first time since 2017, with an away game in Aldershot.

The other promoted team from the Nationalliga Nord Boston United start with a home game at home Rochdale.

There are two of five games between former EFL teams – Halifax host Barnetfinancially troubled Southend United play City and winners of last season’s National League South Yeovil Town entertain Hartlepool United.

The other promoted team from the Nationalliga South Braintree start with an away game against another former EFL team Oldham Athletic.

AFC Fylde play against last year’s National League play-off finalists and two-time Wembley losers Solihull Moors.

Altrincham host Woking, Dagenham & Redbridge face each other in the “East-West London derby”. WealdstoneFA Trophy winners Gateshead, were denied the chance of promotion due to their stadium, hosts Ebbsfleet United and Maidenhead United Host to another team from last season’s midfield Eastleigh.

After the late Easter, the season ends on a Monday for the first time – namely on May 5th, the spring holiday.
