No one was hospitalized after a car crashed into an apartment complex in Sparks

SPARKS, Nevada (KOLO) – Update at 2:21 p.m.: No one was hospitalized following the car crash at a Sparks apartment complex, according to Sparks police.

According to Sparks police, both cars were traveling north on Sparks Boulevard when one of them suddenly changed lanes, causing a car to run off the road, through a park and into an apartment.

Sparks police said they are still investigating which car caused the accident.

Only minor injuries were reported in the accident and no one had to be taken to hospital.

Both the main apartment into which the vehicle crashed and the apartment above it are uninhabitable. There were no people in either apartment at the time of the accident.

Limited lane closures have been put in place and are expected to reopen around 3:00 p.m.

The Sparks Fire Department, Sparks Police Department and REMSA are responding to the incident at the intersection of Sparks Boulevard and Tioga Pass.

There are currently 15 firefighters on site.

Residents are asked to avoid the area.
