Los Angeles Sparks sign lease extension with Crypto.com Arena

The Los Angeles Lakers today announced the signing of a five-year contract extension AEGthe owners of Crypto.com Arenato continue playing its home games at the state-of-the-art arena through 2029. The agreement extends a productive partnership between the team and the iconic downtown Los Angeles venue.

The Sparks, founded in 1996 as one of the NBAThe original eight teams of the WNBA have called the arena home since 2001 and during that time, there have been three league championships, six players have been named most valuable players, two Rookie of the Year awards, two Coach of the Year awards and defining moments such as the first dunk in WNBA history by Lisa Leslie.

The Crypto.com Arena is also synonymous with greatness, as it is the longtime home of the 17-time NBA champions. Los Angeles Lakers and two-time Stanley Cup winner Los Angeles Kings. The Los Angeles Clippers Also known as Crypto.com Arena from 1999 through the 2023-2024 season, the world-class venue seats 19,079 spectators for basketball games, frequently hosts the Grammy Awards and major concerts, and will also host the gymnastics competitions at the 2028 Summer Olympics.
