Three Sioux City Explorers players – outfielder Scott Ota and right-handed pitchers Kyle Marman and Joey Murray – have been named to the West Division All-Star team, the American Association announced Tuesday.

After their respective good starts to the season, Ota, Marman and Murray will remain active during the three-day league break as participants in the AA All-Star Game on July 23.

In 51 games this season, Ota has been Sioux City’s leading hitter, consistently delivering in key situations. The Foster City, California native leads the team in RBIs (41) and home runs (8).

Ota is also his team’s second-best hitter (57) and second-best run scorer (36), with a batting average of .298.
