The pit bull mix is available for adoption in Evansville

Our pet of the week is a beautiful and loving pit bull mix named SAVVY. She was rescued from Evansville Animal Control and is now waiting to meet you at It Takes a Village in Evansville.

When SAVVY arrived at It Takes a Village, she had a few guests with her – seven puppies in her belly! She has since given birth to the puppies and they have all found forever homes. Now it’s mom’s turn to find a family that will love and cherish them!

SAVVY meets all the requirements you have for a new fur baby: She is house trained, gets along with other dogs and children, loves toys and car rides and is loyal and loving.

All animals at It Takes a Village are examined by a veterinarian, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, are dewormed, microchipped, neutered or spayed, tested for heartworms, and treated when needed.

If our Pet of the Week isn’t a good fit for your home, please visit It Takes a Village to see the other rescued animals in need of foster homes and adoptions. And don’t forget the RENT A DOG program. With a quick form and a copy of your photo ID, you can spend a day with one of ITV’s vetted shelter dogs. These days are great for the rescued animals – they get some exercise and new information to help us rehome them. It’s a huge success – so don’t miss out!
