Grand opening of new early childhood facility planned in Fargo – InForum

FARGO – A nonprofit organization focused on fighting poverty is holding a grand opening for its new early childhood facility.

The Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency celebrates the opening of the SENDCAA Head Start Kappel Center at 2761 12th Ave. S. in Fargo.

The event will take place on Tuesday, July 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the agency said in a press release.

The Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parental involvement services to low-income children from birth to age five and their families.

Brandon Kjelden, executive director of SENDCAA, said the opening of the Kappel Center would enable more families to be helped.

“We are excited to announce that this center will provide 45 children with comprehensive education, health, nutrition and mental health services, as well as expanded support that will help the entire family succeed,” Kjelden said in the press release.

Sometimes this name is used when a story has multiple authors or when the story consists of compiling previously reported news from various sources. When outside sources are used, this is noted in the story.
